Bob recently took a trip out to the Central Coast of California and made a visit to the nicely restored San Luis Obispo (or Port San Luis) Light Station. The old tower for the now defunct SL 288 NDB (shut down when all the old marine beacons were converted to irritatingly noisy things!) is still standing guard over the coast. It was impossible to get a "context" shot, but the tower is just out of the frame in the upper right of the last picture. The tower site can be seen via Google Earth at: 35°09'45"N, 120° 45' 39"W. The photos below show the now retired NDB, 'SL' 288, San Luis Obispo, CA USA.

We're very grateful to Bob for sharing these shots of this now redundant NDB with us, and if you have shots of your own that you would also like to see on display here in the NDB List Photo Gallery, we would love to hear from you too!
