On this page you will find another fine collection of George's NDB images, and this includes pictures of three NDBs 'ME' which is located in the home town of 'the King' in Memphis, TN and operates on 287 kHz - the co-ordinates for this one are: (35 03 41.279N 090 04 17.829W), 'MK' on 397 kHz which is located at Denmark (Jackson), TN and located at: 35 30 56.83N 088 57 25.06 W) and 'UC' on 212 kHz which is located at 'Obion' Union City, TN and the co-ordinates for this NDB are: (36 17 51.340N 088 59 41.430W). Sadly ME on 287 kHz is now decommissioned.

NDB "ME - 287.0 kHz", 'ELVIS', MEMPHIS, TN, USA:
ME 287.0 kHz
Located off of Radar Road in a crowded suburban neighborhood of South Memphis, TN, this NDB has been decommissioned for several years. However all of the hardware currently remains in place.

The primary power line has been disconnected perhaps as a safety precaution since the low chain link fence would offer little barrier to the many children resident in the neighborhood who might decide to explore the site.

NDB "UC - 212.0 kHz", 'OBION', UNION CITY, TN, USA:

This NDB is located off Simmons Road at the intersection with E Caudie Rd in a rural farming area about 6 miles south-south-east of Union City, TN.

Transmitter Shack and the Outer Marker Yagi.

Three-wire, ca 150 feet long, center-fed top hat tethered at the east end atop a 30 foot wooden pole.

The connection from the Transmitter Shack exits through a underground conduit to the loading coil in the metal shielding box.

NDB "MK - 394.0 kHz", 'MERSY', DENMARK (JACKSON), TN, USA:
MK 394.0 kHz
MK_394 is located off Hardee Road in Denmark, a typically rural area of western Tennessee, about 12 miles southwest of Jackson, TN. This well maintained site houses an imposing NDB structure.

Capacity Top Hat of rigid and quite symmetrical construction.
