On this page you will find a collection of photographs of NDB and other types of radio transmitters and antennas, taken during Kriss's travels around Europe. In this collection are a number of shots of the NDBs at Zagreb, Vrasr and Dubrovnik in Croatia, and Ljubljana in Slovenia.

NDB "VRS - 369.0 kHz", VRSAR, CROATIA:
VRS 369.0 kHz
VRS is located inland from Porec in middle of village Musalez, Istria, Croatia. Its co-ordinates are: N45.1237 E0113.3856


NDB "MG - 296.0 kHz", LJUBLJANA/BRNIK, SLOVENIA:
MG 296.0 kHz
MG is a LOM SW approach beacon for Ljubljana Airport in Slovenia. Co-ordinates for this one are: N46.1024 E014.3321


NDB "CV - 397.0 kHz", DUBROVNIK AIRPORT, CROATIA:
CV 397.0 kHz
CV is a LMM for Dubrovnik Airport north approach at Cavtat, Dalmatia, Croatia. The co-ordinates for this beacon are: N42.3507 E018.1246

The CV NDB is right above the 2500 year old Greek ruins at Cavtat.

It turns out that the CV beacon was involved in the US Secretary Ron Brown's plane crash of 1996.

Lucky break, the east LOM NDB for Cilipi-Dobrovnik Airport is visble in the middle of the Polje Valley from the bus.
