On this page you will find a number of NDB images kindly taken and supplied by David Thorpe. These feature the NDB at Carnane on the Isle of Man, which currently transmits the ident of 'CAR' and operates on 366.5 kHz. Like many of the NDBs in use in the British Isles, this one uses the characteristic NonA2A mode, with a 400 Hz offset, with idents plus and minus 400 Hz from the listed carrier frequency. The mast is a three sided lattice type, with a capacity hat on the top.

NOTE# All of the following pictures are copyright David Thorpe, and should not be re-produced with out first obtaining his permission - please ask us for his contact details if you should require them.
