roelof Another fine shot of Roelof's loop and field shack. (85kb)
Middelplaten Another shot from CLE39, a close up view of the operating position against the gate at Middelplaten. You can see Roelof's trusty SPM-3 with the Portable Unit 2, and the FL3 audio filter on top. At the right you can see a 12 V, 7 AH gel-cell battery feeding the FL3 and the Portable Unit 2. Behind the gate you can see the natural meadow of the nature reserve. Veere's Lake is right behind the bushes. (92kb)
middelplaten Another picture from the same location, but from a different angle. If you look closely you can see a coaxial cable running from Portable Unit 2 towards the right hand gate post. The coaxial cable is connected to a small die cast box containing a 9:1 (450:50 ohm) rf-transformer. A small red cable is connected by crocodile clip to the upper wire of the east fence. A black cable (hardly visible) goes to a short ground rod placed in a nearby ditch. This is a splendid location. Two nice antenna's for free and beautiful scenery. (99kb)
