Hello all Here are the full details for this weekend's Coordinated Listening Event. It is open to everyone including CLE new-comers: Our 312th Coordinated Listening Event starts this Friday. After our special Christmas Event, this CLE will again be a “normal” challenge where we will listen in two wider (one 50 kHz wide and one 20 kHz) frequency ranges plus we will be listening for all of the half-way signals (nnn.5 kHz). Rxx shows 167 recently-logged Beacons in Europe and 120 in North America (shown as logged since 01.07.2024) for all three ranges. Days: Friday 24 January – Monday 27 January Times: Start and end at midday, your LOCAL time Range(s): 1. 190 – 239.9 kHz 2. 400 – 419.9 kHz 3. All NDBs whose carrier frequencies are 'half-way' e.g. 267.5, 333.5, 386.5 kHz, etc. Wherever you are, please join us and log the NDBs that you can positively identify that are listed in the advertised frequency ranges plus any UNIDs that you come across there. As well as all the “Half-Way” frequencies (nnn.5 kHz) it includes 190 kHz but not 240 kHz, and 400 kHz but not 420 kHz. Those of us who regularly enjoy our CLEs will notice that once again the frequency ranges seem unusually wide. It is a further measure to counteract the decrease in active signals especially in North America and to make sure that both Europe and North America have sufficient signals to hunt for in each CLE. As we already mentioned during recent CLEs, the only drawback is that for a while we won’t be able to compare our results using the new wider ranges with earlier events. Send your final CLE log to the List, preferably as a plain text email (not in an attachment) with 'CLE312 FINAL' in its subject line. Please show on EVERY LINE of your log: The Date (e.g. '2025-01-24', etc., or just '24' ) and UTC (the day changes at 00:00 UTC). kHz (The beacon's nominal published frequency) If you don’t know it, please visit https://rxx.classaxe.com where you will find all the details. The Call Ident. Show those main items FIRST on each line, before other optional details such as Location, Distance, etc. Please don’t forget to add your listening location (the 6-digit Maidenhead-Locator) for either your home location or the remote receiver that you were using during the CLE. Also, if you use a remote receiver which is publicly available, please give the web-address for it. Always make your log interesting to everyone by giving further details of your listening location and also of the receiver, aerial(s), etc., that you were using. If you send any interim logs during the event, please also send your 'FINAL' complete log. We will send the usual 'Any More Logs?' email at about 19:00 UTC on Tuesday so you can check that your log has been found OK. Do make sure that your log has arrived on the List by 08:00 UTC on Wednesday, 29 January. We will then hope to complete making the combined results within a day or two. You can find full information about current and past CLEs from the CLE page at https://www.ndblist.info/cle.htm . You can also find your relevant seeklists made from REU/RNA/RWW by visiting https://rxx.classaxe.com/cle . In case of any questions you can contact us either via the list or via direct e-mail (ndbcle@ndblist.info). Good listening Joachim and Brian (CLE Coordinators) Reminder: You could use any ONE remote receiver for your loggings, stating its location and owner - with their permission if required. A remote listener may NOT also use another receiver, whether local or remote, to obtain further loggings for the same CLE.
