Hello all Our next Co-ordinated Listening Event will soon be here. Only for the third time ever our listening will be based on Locator Fields (‘Grid Squares’). Whether you are a regular CLE listener, an occasional one, or have never sent a CLE log, everyone is welcome to join us in this event. Days: Friday 25 October – Monday 28 October Times: Start and end at midday, your LOCAL time Range: 190 - 1740 kHz Target: Up to 8 normal NDBs in each Locator Field (not DGPS, NAVTEX, Amateur or UNIDs) Please join us wherever you are - just log up to 8 NDBs in each Locator Field. Please include in your log your nearest active NDB (likely to be one in your own Locator Field). Locator Fields are the large areas represented by the first two letters of the Maidenhead Locators (‘Grid Squares’) and they are identified by a first letter, Longitude (West > East), followed by a second letter, Latitude (South > North). For example, you can see that most of the British Isles are in Field IO. The Rxx Database Signals List shows the Grid Squares (the first two letters of GSQ). Here is a World map showing all the Fields. (Adapted from http://www4.plala.or.jp/nomrax/GL/fullsize.htm) We last used the same rules and frequencies in CLE256 in May 2020 when 32 of us joined in. Please look out for our full 'Final Details' this coming Wednesday. That will include advice about the NDBs to listen for, how to present your log, etc. Joachim and Brian (CLE Coordinators) _._,_._,_ Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
